Accounting for millions of annual deaths worldwide, cancer is an enormous risk to public health and society. It is a highly complex disease and still a major challenge for scientific and medical communities. Hence, novel concepts to fight this lethal disease find enormous public interest. The ETN's communication strategy will ensure that research is made known to society at large, in such a way that it can be easily understood by non-specialists, thereby improving public understanding of science and emphasizing its extensive relevance for daily life. Magicbullet::Reloaded pursues the aim to create opportunities for the general public to get in contact with science and to discover the world of European research with its breakthroughs and difficulties, as well as to directly exchange ideas with the scientists.
