Early Stage Researcher in the ETN Magic bullet Reloaded at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Subject: using multivalency as a tool to improve druggability of cancer drugs. In this project, a dextran is modified to create binding sites for small molecules or peptides which have proven to function as cancer drugs. By increasing the number of drug molecules which are coupled to the dextran, we can increase the interaction with the cancer cell and with it we hope to increase the druggability of the drug. Supervision of: Prof. Harald Kolmar |
08/2017 – 01/2020 |
Master in Drug Design and synthesis at the Free university of Amsterdam Subject: Learning about the development of new medicinal compounds by the computational design and organic synthesis. Highlighted courses are: ADMET; Synthetic approaches in medicinal chemistry; Computer aided drug design and virtual screening and physical organic chemistry. |
08/2017 – 06/2019 |
Master in Pharmaceutical sciences at Copenhagen university Subject: During this master, the focus was mainly on how compounds can be modified for industry. Highlighted courses are: Biopharmaceuticals: Formulation of peptides and proteins Biopharmaceuticals: Design and modification of Biomolecules. |
11/2018 – 06/2019 |
Master thesis project at Copenhagen university Subject: discovering novel peptide ligands for the newly deorphanized GPCR15 receptor. This was a collaboration project with the Bräuner-Osborne and Gloriam laboratories, to design, synthesize and test the new peptidomimetics. During this project an alanine scanning mutagenesis was preformed to identify possible hot-spots in the structure. Supervision of: Prof. Trond Ulven |
08/2013 – 06/2017 |
Bachelor Food & Pharma at the Avans University of applied science Bachelor thesis: Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich During which I contributed to the development of a three component system connecting Oligonucleotides together though the CuAAC reaction. Supervision of: Prof. Thomas Carell & Dr. Markus Müller |
08/2014 – 02/2015 | Research internship at PTG/e, a company focused on polymers. In this internship, I worked on the development of Water-Expendable polystyrene. |
