Short Biography
Parisa Rahimitabar, born in 1992 in Tehran-Iran, studied health care administration for both bachelor’s and master degrees at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences from 2010 to 2017. For her master thesis, she has done a mixed-methods on health care systems’ functions and specially the governance function of health systems. She focused on a comparative survey of successful health care systems around worldwide and proposed a new model for the governance of Iranian health care system. Since 2019, as she was interested in health for vulnerable populations especially refugees, joined the FlüGe interdisciplinary project on refugees’ health at the Bielefeld University. At the moment, she is a PhD student in public health at the faculty of health sciences and a research associate at the FlüGe project where she is doing a mixed-methods on Afghan refugees’ health.
