INF: User-oriented research infrastructure assisting linguistic data collection and (re-)use
PIs: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hendrik Buschmeier/ Dr. Annett Jorschick/ Prof. Dr. LL.M. oec. Paul T. Schrader
The aim of the INF project is to establish an infrastructure consisting of two components. The first is a "wizard" that will assist researchers during the data collection planning phase, automatically generating customised, legally compliant consent forms for participants based on the specific requirements of the research endeavour. The second is a data management platform, where collected (meta) data will be imported. Within the platform, data are linked with each participant's specific consent forms, allowing researchers to view the extent of a participant’s consent.
Ö: Public relations project
PIs: Prof. Dr. Oliver Bott/ Prof. Dr. Barbara Job/ Dr. Petra Pansegrau
The public relations project Ö will serve as a communication hub for the CRC Linguistic Creativity in Communication. The project’s tasks go well beyond common public relations work in a CRC due to the general public’s substantial involvement in the planned research program via citizen science activities and the planned research on science communication itself. We aim to actively involve interested citizens in the design, implementation, evaluation and results assessment of our projects through various participation formats. Citizens participating in the CRC’s research will thus gain insights into linguistic research and theorizing. All these activities will be carefully designed, implemented and scientifically monitored.
RTG: Integrated research training group
PIs: Prof. Dr. Julia Settinieri
The proposed CRC is committed to high-quality education for doctoral researchers and postdocs, and will provide early career researchers with an environment that allows them to fully develop their potential and thus contribute to the overall research goals of the initiative. The measures applied within project RTG focus on research subjects and methods, but also research ethics, career planning, citizen science and sustainable research data management and range from introductory events, summer schools, writing retreats and workshops to mentoring and social activities fostering interdisciplinarity and international exchange.
Z: Central administrative project
The central administrative project is responsible for the coordination and organization of the CRC.
