International ­ Office

The International Office provides services for international students, doctoral candidates and international researchers, as well as for all Bielefeld students, professors and employees who are planning a stay abroad. Furthermore, the International Office advises faculties on cooperation agreements, internationalization and recruitment measures.

Our main responsibilities:

• Providing advice to foreign prospective students
• Supporting international students and academic staff
• Advising German students who intend to study abroad
• Coordinating cooperation with international organizations
• Supplying support in concluding cooperation and partnership agreements with universities world-wide
• Allocating scholarship resources to international and German students
• Advising faculties concerning third-party fundings and international recruitment
• Preparatory and study-integrated German courses for international (prospective) students, PhD candidates and researchers at the German Language Centre PunktUm German
• Summer Courses for international students and graduates
