University of Szeged (Hungary)

General information: Szeged is the third largest city in Hungary with almost 160,000 inhabitants. It is located on the border triangle in close proximity to Serbia and Romania. The city is also called the "City of Sunshine" because it has more hours of sunshine than any other Romanian city. About 30,000 students are enrolled at the University of Szeged, which was founded in 1872. The state university is divided into twelve faculties.

Study schedule: The winter semester usually begins in early September and ends in mid-December, followed by exams until the end of January. The summer semester begins at the beginning of February and lasts until mid-May. The subsequent examination period lasts until the end of June.

Other Information: At the beginning of the semester there is an orientation week for foreign students.
