Lab Infrastructure

The COSY@Home-Lab explores research prototypes in home environments leading to new interaction expieriences and innovative assistance in tasks of daily living. It features a fully functional research apartment.

The Cognitive Service Robotics Apartment (CSRA) consists of three rooms with a total space of 60m². One large room has kitchen, living room and hallway areas. Additionally, there are a bathroom and a multi-functional room that can be changed according to changing research projects and further needs. Besides a developer access, there is a smart door connecting to a public corridor to allow the investigation of arrival and departure situations. A mobile service robot is able to interact with people and the physical environment.

A Service-Robotics-Laboratory allows to develop and test innovative robotic skills in a team effort. It offers several work stations and flexible space to setup test environments.

The KogniHome association runs an assisted living apartment which demonstrates technologies for the support of independent living. CITEC is a partner in this partner network.
