Project Summary:
It is suggested that humans represent the actions of others with the same neural mechanisms which are involved when they execute this action by themselves and that an important prerequisite for successful interaction is the prediction of events and actions. The project aims to explore the cognitive and neural correlates in human-human interaction and to establish methods to transfer it to the context of human-machine interaction. This includes for example the investigation of attention processes as well as the analysis of processes involved in joint action measured by near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
