General Information: Limerick is the third largest city in Ireland, with over 100,000 inhabitants:inside. The city was founded by the Vikings in the 9th century and is one of the oldest cities in Ireland - yet today it is characterized by its young dynamism: Almost half of the inhabitants are under 35 years of age, and a quarter of them are students. In addition to a wide range of cultural activities, the city offers nearby nature and river landscapes that are inviting for hikes. The University of Limerick consists of five faculties, with the Department of Psychology housed in the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences.
Study programs and specializations: Two four-year undergraduate programs, a B.Sc. in Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, are each offered. In addition, there is an M.A. in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Psychological Science; both take a total of one year.
Study schedule: The fall semester runs from September to December. The spring semester begins in January and ends in May.
Other Information: With the help of a 360° virtual tour, students can explore different areas of the campus online and familiarize themselves with the university. A buddy program is offered where three to four international students are assigned to a buddy who is already studying at the University of Limerick.
